So apparently Kristin Gillibrand and Chucky Schumer have recommended that a Latino be chosen for the Supreme Court. Can you IMAGINE if they had said they were recommending a White be chosen?  What exactly does one's race have to do with being qualified for the Supreme Court???  Are we making a quilt of many colors or are we choosing the BEST QUALIFIED person to serve on this WAY TOO POWERFUL court? Are these people saying, by wanting Obama to choose a Latino, that someone non-Latino would not be objective or otherwise as qualified?  Are they saying that by not having a Latino on the Supreme Court, that the Supreme Court is not making decisions that benefit Latinos and by choosing a Latino, they would? Um.. isn't this RACIST?  Why is it ok to select a person based on their race ONLY if they are non-White?????

AND - where are the MALE nominees? You can't be serious that there were NO MALES QUALIFED FOR THE SUPREME COURT? It smacks of political correctness when you look at the nominees - ALL FEMALE and of course we have the Latina and the Black females represented - where are the Asians? if you really want to be balanced, then you need to choose a person of each gender and of each race for the Supreme Court because, after all, there are no Haitins on the Supreme Court and no Japanese or Chinese Supreme Court Justices - so - like Noah's Ark - we need a pair of every race representing "their" segment on the Supreme Court - that is if you REALLY want BALANCE.

But of course we all know it is not truly about "balance". It is about kissing the ASSES of the growing Latino population - most of which have gotten here illegally - because people like Gillibrand and Schumer are outright WHORES for VOTES and that is ALL THAT MATTERS to them.

People like them apparently are trying to hasten a war between the races because that is the ONLY thing that will come out of treating ANY race preferentially based solely upon the race of that person.

The ONLY way to eliminate RACISM is to refuse to choose or not choose a person based on their RACE but instead on their QUALIFICATIONS.  To do otherwise is to put substandard people in positions of power to satisfy some perceived notion of balance when all you are getting a skin color and not a worthy candidate.
