Holocaust Museum Shooting Reveals Media Bias -Truth is in the Eye of the Beholder

In the last two weeks we have had various "lone wolf" shootings, all of which you can say the following truths about - the shooter was motivated by his hatred of his target for their actions and ideologies.

YET, we have different spins on the stories and different perceptions about the coverage of all of these stories.

In the most recent shooting by a "white supremacist" at the Holocaust Museum in DC, we have been subjected to practically 24/7 discussion of racial hatred, hate crimes and attempts to tie the shooter, Von Brunn, to "groups" that think like him.

Interestingly enough, if you look back to the Arkansas shooting only last week, following closely on the heels of the Dr Tiller murder, you would see very little mention of "racial hatred" or the word hate at all. Yet these two shooters are motivated in EXACTLY the same ways - by hatred of a group of people.

I decided to search for the Arkansas shooter's name and pair it with the word "hate" and found very few headlines using that word to describe his actions. What I DID find was a Muslim site that apparently thinks the Muslim Arkansas shooter was somehow treated as a terrorist and the murderer of Dr Tiller was not so they were crying about the "unfair media treatment" of Muslims!  HA! And there we have the very interesting discovery that truth is in the ears and eyes of the beholder.

What *I* heard in the reports on the murder of Dr Tiller was IMMEDIATELY that the media was seeking to tie him to "abortion rights groups" and slander the whole lot of people who feel that killing babies is wrong.  And I also heard this willingness to tie Von Brunn to "supremacist groups" in the Holocaust Museum killing.

But the media DOWNPLAYED the fact that Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Arkansas shooter, had gone to Yemen and been "radicalized" to hate the US Military and TRAINED IN JIHADIST CAMPS IN YEMEN. In fact, I hardly ever heard the "hate" buzz word surrounding THAT story - yet it was clear that Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad HATES as much as James Von Brunn does.

Take this story for example headlined "Trail of Hate":

Von Brunn, an anti-Semitic World War II veteran, had long been known among white supremacist circles for his racist rants and extreme hatred of Jews and blacks. He lives in Annapolis, Md., and has a history of anger, abusive behavior, anti-Semitism and anti-government aggression.

Funny, but I don't recall seeing ANY stories on Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad's "Trail of Hate". Let's do a google News search...

We have him described as a "Muslim convert" for the most part in the liberal press:

A Muslim convert charged in the killing of a soldier at a recruiting center in Arkansas says he didn't consider it murder because U.S. military action in the Middle East made the killing justified.

I'm pretty sure James Von Brunn thought his killing was also justified..  Yet, we don't see his viewpoint provided in the story now do we?  Furthermore, the judge in the case of the Muslim terrorist has ISSUED A GAG ORDER.  Huh?  Did we see a GAG ORDER in the cases of the Tiller murder or this Holocaust museum shooting?  Gee why not?

I'll tell you why - because in THOSE cases the liberal media and anti-American judges do not agree with the cause that motivated the shooters but in the case of the Arkansas shooting THEY DO BELIEVE IN THE CAUSE OF Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad.

Folks, we are living in BIZARRO world in the United States where outright terror attacks are viewed as being committed by "Muslim converts" and when a terrorist act is committed by those with conservative leaning views - suddenly they have a "trail of hate" and a "history of violent tendencies".. but Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad is just a Muslim convert.. yep.. move along.. nothing different to see there. Please focus on the home grown CONSERVATIVE terrorists please... and leave the poor Muslims alone.
