Here's a story in the headlines that, at first glance, seems like a victory for minorities, and Hilda Solis of the Department of Labor is celebrating. Department of Labor vs Gerber. But hold on a second because we need to find out exactly what kind of test she and her government agency consider "discriminatory" against women and minorities.

It's the Test of Adult Basic Education or T.A.B.E which is even easier than the GED which all high school graduates should be able to pass.  This is unbelievable that simply because more minorities and women did not pass the Adult Basic Education Test - now that cannot be used as a pre-employment test???  So what's next - we don't need to make sure the applicant even has brain activity?

Here is a short description of the test used at Gerber (from this link ):

TABE tests encompass levels of difficulty extending from the 1st to the 12th grade. Each of the corresponding elementary or secondary school grade levels is subdivided into further levels of difficulty. The three chief content areas tested are reading, language use, and basic mathematics. The TABE also has a Spanish-language version.

The content of the test is generally consistent with basic education requirements of public schools across the nation. Fundamental skills tested on TABE include literacy assessment, fundamental mathematics concepts, and other language skills. In addition to elementary and secondary school testing programs, TABE testing versions have been developed to meet general basic education concerns for adults working or applying to work in certain occupations.

So there you have it folks - by requiring BASIC EDUCATION the Department of Labor has decided that a company is DISCRIMINATING against minorities and women. What the HELL is wrong with this country???  People need to get outraged about this. The bar has just been lowered.. and how exactly does this HELP minorities????  We should be raising the bar and dragging everyone kicking and screaming to get their FREE PUBLIC EDUCATION. Every adult in this country, unless mentally deficient in some way, should be required to take the TABE test just to continue to live in this country. PERIOD. Why would a country NOT want most of its citizens to have BASIC EDUCATION SKILLS?

I know the answer to that - maybe you do too - countries who want ignorant masses or people are the same countries who have dictatorship governments.  Ignorant people are much easier to control.. is THIS where you want your country to go?

Can you say - RACIAL QUOTAS?  I am fairly sure racial quotas in school "desegregation" has been struck down in the Supreme Court in the recent past. But they aren't going to call this "racial quotas" but what other outcome will result from this crap?

I have a feeling that the Gerber lawyers were not astute enough to invoke the recent Supreme Court ruling in New Haven vs Ricci:

IN STRIKING another blow against the use of racial quotas, the Supreme Court challenged the nation's first minority president and Congress to help lead us to a post-racial America.

In Ricci v. DeStefano, New Haven, Conn., had refused to promote white firefighters who had received the highest scores on written and oral tests for lieutenant and captain positions because the right number of minorities had not passed, too.

Later in the above article is this paragraph which is in direct contradiction to what we see Obama and his minions doing now:

By avoiding blockbuster constitutional rulings, the court is pushing President Obama to live up to his campaign promises.

Candidate Obama said it was time to move beyond identity politics. Part of his appeal was the hope that he could lead the nation into an era where, as the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, children "will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." That requires us to discard extreme measures such as racial hiring and admission quotas or limits on state elections. They might have been justified in the 1960s, to eliminate segregation root and branch. But they are necessary no longer.

The Supreme Court has called on the president and Congress to introduce new measures that no longer manipulate race, and it is up to our elected politicians now to answer.

It is clear that America is anything but "post-racial" and it's not because of the evil White race perpetrating racism - it is the champions of the "underserved people of color" who are perpetuating racism - but in REVERSE. Any form of racially based selection criteria is racist - even if a group thinks they have good intentions. When will this country EVER leave racism behind?  People like Hilda Solis keep throwing it up in our faces and in so doing, they PERPETUATE RACISM.
